Idea to Outline May - June 2025

A 7-week online programme to get your idea into shape.

You know that great idea you have? Let’s find the heart of that story, do a deep dive into your thoughts and clarify the themes that interest you. Through this process, we will write and rewrite your outline so that: 

• You've found the shape of your story that will make your content connect with audiences.

• Your next draft will feel like it's writing itself. 

• Your characters are well-delineated, dynamic, engaging and authentic.

• You have an outline ready to show to creative collaborotors that will have them eager to read your screenplay

• You can confidently engage in conversations about your project with the people who can help you realise your dreams (producers, funders, agents, cast).

Live on Tuesdays 19:00-21:o0 (Irish Time) commencing May . 

Classes are recorded so that you can watch or rewatch them in your own time. 

This course includes one individual consultation session with the tutor (1 x 60 minute meeting by arrangement). 

Over the course of seven two-hour classes and one individual consultation, we will show you how to:

• achieve clarity and focus on the story you want to tell

• keep your plot moving

• give definition to your characters

• find your theme and 

• stay on schedule by doing a couple of hour's work a week in your own time. 

This programme is suitable for all levels of experience, including first-time screenwriters who are ready to learn.

There will be a maximum of 10 participants in this group. Cost is €499 per participant. Early bird discount to €399 for bookings received before April 30 2025 OR 10% discount for members of WGI/WFT.
